MPS announced expansion of its regional presence across Asia. since the company opened its Asia branch in January 2018. Julius Urbano was named the regional service engineer. Urbano will provide pre- and post-installation technical service for MPS presses in the Asia-Pacific region, and support local service engineers of various agents.
Managing director MPS Systems Asia, Tim Klappe, says, “The addition of Julius to our team is an important step in our growth throughout the Asia Pacific region and we are delighted to welcome him on board. We recognize the importance of local service and support, and with this appointment we hope to serve our customers better.”
Urbano has been working as a field service engineer in the printing industry for 18 years. Born in the Philippines, Urbano has lived and worked in several Asian countries and is currently based at MPS Systems Asia, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Urbano will receive training of MPS flexo, offset and hybrid press technology at MPS headquarters in Arnhem, The Netherlands.
“Our momentum is building quickly. We are recruiting additional service engineers, growing our Asia-Pacific agent representation, solidifying local supplier partnerships, and we plan to establish a demo center here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia,” concludes Klappe.
