An Omet IFlex label press has been installed at Orianaa Decorpack’s plant in Vadodara, in Western India. The IFlex installed at Orianaa is a 370 mm-wide press with 10 print stations with UV curing and one screen printing station. In addition, there are two cold foil stations, a delam/relam accessory, a web turning bar and one die-cutting station. Presses with at least 10 print stations have become the norm for leading Indian label printers. This is also the case for most of the more than 25 Omet narrow web flexo presses installed in India.
Orianaa offers a complete range of labels – shrink sleeve, BOPP wrap-around, PS Sticker, heat transfer (HTL), in-mold labels and stretch labels. Yogesh Shahani, managing director of Orianaa says, “Omet with their experience, technological control in web tension and machine reliability met with our requirements.” The Orianaa plant is BRC audited and the company’s promoters were earlier founders of Billion Flex and Bullion Flexipack.
The sale and installation of the Omet label press has been executed by Weldon Celloplast Limited, headquartered in New Delhi. Weldon represents several major manufacturers of printing equipment, tooling, inspection and waste management systems besides offering their own tamper-evident security label materials. Pawandeep Sahni, director of Weldon says, “Orianaa is a very innovative company offering a diverse range of labels and packaging materials. We are happy to have been selected to be their vendor partner for equipment.”
