Since 2016, Surat-based Weepac has been manufacturing packaging cartons that would use paper board and plastic. The company has invested in some state-of-the-art equipment in its converting and postpress division, and is now embarking on a drive to modernize its press section which has two pre-owned offset presses. It will soon invest in a brand new 6-color with coater offset press. In addition to upgrading its physical infrastructure, Weepac is also aggressive investing in human capital and focusing on marketing activities by visiting and participating in big trade events.
After successfully visiting Gulfood 2017, Weepac made its debut at the recently concluded Plastindia 2018 and displayed a variety of packaging cartons that it can offer to customers.
“Plastindia is one of India’s premier shows for packaging and plastics industry and as first-time participants, we have nothing to complain about. We got to meet many potential customers. We focused on meeting visitors from textiles and cosmetics industry,” says Naimesh Naik, partner, Weepac.
The next event where Weepac will promote and market its solutions will be the upcoming Gulfood 2018, which takes place in Dubai from 18-22 February. This will be the second time when Naik will be visiting Gulfood and it shows Weepac’s focus on the markets in the Middle East region.
“Weepac considers Middle East as a very important market. We received excellent response during Gulfood 2017, and in the last one year we have built on the contacts we made there. Now we know a lot of people in the region and we expect to have a good time at Gulfood 2018 as well,” Naik shares.
Weepac would be meeting companies such as Bateel and Saifa Dates, among others at Gulfood 2018.
