DIC India inaugurates Safety Dojo Room
DIC India recently launched its safety DOJO room to ensure a safe environment within its Noida plant. The company opened its first ‘Safety Dojo Centre’ at its Noida facility with six stations. The safety DOJO stations are designed to provide real-time-experiences of safety hazards and their consequences for all participants. The stations installed to address the safety issues with operating a triple roll mill, working at height, slippery surfaces, screw conveyors, use of sharp hand tools and unstable working platforms. After the inauguration by a company team from Japan, a trainer training session was conducted by Jun Takeuchi, an HSE expert from DIC Japan.

DIC India adds risk assessment services to flexible packaging industry
DIC India has taken the initiative to support its customer’s safety, health and environment efforts and business sustainability as well. DIC India has begun providing technical safety audit services to its existing and new customers under the name of ‘Value Added Services’ which helps the customers in identifying the risks involved in their working environment. The risk can be fire or other safety risks and DIC will advise its customers upon remedial actions in such scenarios, timely adoption of which will lead to mitigation of a lot of operational risks and business interruptions.

This initiative is already being appreciated by the flexible packaging printers and converters where there have been a spate of accidents including major fires and explosions over the past few years. In its Technical Safety Audits, DIC India is helping companies old and new in identifying safety risks in their operations. Some of the other services in the related vertical provided by DIC includes Safety Training and Emergency Planning services which can help in setting up awareness, training, monitoring and control measures to avoid hazards and accidents.
