A corrugator since 1964, Securipax Packaging PL has established a new plant at Roorkee in Uttarakhand. The new state of the art plant is set in a 4-acre plot and is capable of converting and processing 2,500 metric tonnes of paper to corrugated boxes each month.
The corrugated board production line runs at 150 meters a minute and is numerically controlled (NC) for precision at these high speeds. Securipax has also installed a 2-colour printer-slotter-diecutter with an auto stacker to handle 130 corrugated board pieces a minute. This machine is also NC controlled for precision at high speeds and faster job changeovers.
The corrugation company has also ordered a fully automatic folder-gluer, stitcher, down stacker, counter ejector and bundler to handle gluing at speeds of 120 metres a minute. This makes Securipax one of the most advanced and comprehensive corrugated manufacturing facilities in the country. With its capacity to offer quality and high volumes with speed, the modern plant will primarily cater to the needs of manufacturers in the Excise Free Zones of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
