Kolkata-based Sattik Packaging has signed a deal to buy Megafold 2400 folder-gluer with stacker from DGM India. This will be the second folder-gluer that Sattik has bought from the DGM portfolio. At present, Sattik Packaging makes 3-ply and 5-ply boxes.

“We had bought a Megafold 1650 folder-gluer from DGM about one-and-a-half years ago directly from DGM, before DGM India was established. We are very satisfied with the machine and therefore we have opted for the Megafold 2400 now,” says Sanjay Saha, director, Sattik Packaging.

In the converting section, the company also has a Bobst Novacut 106 die-cutter and a Bobst Visionfold folder-gluer. Saha shares that the company has also placed an order for a 7-color UV coater press from KBA as it wants to venture into manufacturing mono cartons.

“We have already placed an order for the KBA press, which will be commissioned in June this year. With this we will enter the mono carton segment,” he says.
