During the PrintPack 2017 exhibition, we caught up with V Vaidyalingam, director at Suba Solutions at their stand, where the company had on display their high-speed quality inspection and sorting machine, Focusight. An offline inspection system for the packaging industry, applicable for cartons and labels, Focusight features high precision cameras boasts of highly advanced software. The system is ideal for both paper board and METPET cartons and supports inspection of quality standards of several operations, including printing varnishing, lamination, foil stamping, cutting, creasing, braille embossing and
much more.
Suba Solutions has been constantly working on evolving Focusight’s design and specification aspects, which are helpful in reducing labor cost and adding authenticity to quality assurance. The machine is available in line with printing machines, offline systems and full sheet inspection formats.
Vaidyalingam informed that this is the first time Suba Solutions has displayed their products in an exhibition. Focusight has already been installed in various parts of the country and the decision to participate in PrintPack was to have a sort of brand reinforcement wherein the objective was to focus on the company as a leading player in this segment. According to Vaidyalingam, Suba wants to contribute in consolidating the quality inspection segment in India.
Suba imports the Focusight machine from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in China where they are the market leaders. Vaidyalingam is hopeful of achieving 20% plus growth in the next financial year.
Suba Solutions has a well-structured system in place where the manufacturing division is headed by the technical director of the company, the folding cartons division by Vaidyalingam himself and the corrugation division looked after by an experienced packaging industry professional.
