Ahmedabad-based Konark Plastomech, which manufactures extrusion machinery and ancillaries for a wide range of applications for the plastic processing industry, is participating for the seventh time at the K show in Düsseldorf Germany.
This time, it is not showing or running any machine at its stall — D69 in Hall 12.
“We have been a regular exhibitor at K show. In fact, this is the seventh time for us and we have always been happy with the quality of visitors. This time, the number of visitors is a lot less than the 2019 edition. However, we have met a lot of potential customers from smaller markets. This is the biggest benefit of being at such a show,” says Jaymin Pithwa, executive director of Konark Plastomech.
The company makes machines such as blown film extrusion lines, cast film extrusion lines, extrusion coating lines, strapping band extrusion lines, filament extrusion lines, and air bubble sheet extrusion lines, among others.
Konark’s plant in Odhav in Ahmedabad is spread over 35,000 square feet and houses a CNC machine shop, QC lab, a paint shop, a sheet metal shop, and a design shop.
For Konark, exports are an important contributor to its topline and the company ships its machines to a number of emerging markets.
“Both the Indian market and exports are equally important for us as we get a good chunk of our topline from both these verticals. However, the growth of the Indian packaging industry has been very strong and we expect the trend to continue,” Pithwa says.
