To strengthen its presence across South India, DGM Automation India, a leading manufacturer of converting solutions for the folding cartons and corrugated packaging segments, highlighted its entire portfolio at the Bharat Print Expo 2025 in Bengaluru.
“Our participation this year was not just about highlighting technology, it was about strengthening relationships and expanding to South Indian cities,” Puneet Agarwal, director of DGM India, said. While Hyderabad has long been a stronghold for DGM, the company is now actively targeting other cities in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh to expand its customer base.
According to Agarwal, nearly 30 to 35 DGM machines are currently in operation across Southern India. “We already have a strong presence in other parts of the country, and our focus now is to replicate that success in the South,” he added.
In the financial year 2024-25, DGM India sold nearly 40 machines nationwide. Of these, four were installed in South India. Agarwal informed us about the recent installation at Elegant Offset Printers in Belgaum, Karnataka. The deal was finalized during Printpack 2025.
One of the latest additions to its portfolio is a newly launched hot air sealing machine, designed specifically for food and liquid packaging applications. The hot air sealing machine is equipped with skiving and hemming for both sides of PE-coated /gable top cartons for liquid packaging.
Agarwal also gave updates on the company’s global manufacturing capabilities. DGM China has acquired a 40,000-square-meter plot of land to expand its production facility. The first phase of this upgraded facility is set to be inaugurated in June 2025.
According to him, the expo was the first of its kind in Bengaluru that put the spotlight on major players in the printing and packaging industry. “Earlier, the expo was highly segregated into various industries, whereas here we can find relevant customers. We got some good leads as well.”
