TechNova helped customers navigate diverse technologies at drupa

The future of printing will be predominantly hybrid, with digital and conventional technologies coexisting harmoniously, creating a win-win scenario for the industry. Sheena Parikh, joint managing director of TechNova, told Indian Printer and Publisher during drupa 2024.

At drupa, the overarching theme is digital. But I think what is interesting is that conventional printing is here to stay as much as digital. They will all co-exist and it is going to be hybrid. You saw Heidelberg announcing its alliance with Canon. And then you have KBA with Durst. So, you have the conventional print machinery manufacturers having a digital combination,” she said.

I feel it is not the question of either/or. It is digital and conventional. So, I think it will be a happy co-existence where it will be a win-win for both. And that’s something that TechNova has always maintained – enhance offset and integrate digital. That’s been our motto,” she added.

TechNova’s presence at drupa 2024

Although TechNova did not have a physical stand at drupa, the company ensured a strong presence through a large contingent that assisted customers in navigating the diverse technologies on display.

“Even without a physical stand, our entire team was present, collaborating with our alliance partners such as HP, Konica Minolta, Esko, and Amsky. Being at drupa is essential for us and a tradition we uphold,” Parikh explained.

The team’s primary focus was on providing personalized assistance to customers, ensuring they could explore and understand the various technological advancements showcased by TechNova’s partners.

“We ensured every Indian customer received TechNova’s warm hospitality, addressing their needs and guiding them through the technological landscape to find the best solutions for their businesses,” Parikh said. “Our focus is on what benefits our customers, not just promoting TechNova’s products.”

Optimism for the Indian print market

Parikh is optimistic about the future of print in India, asserting that the industry remains promising and that print will continue to be a vital component of the communication landscape.

“Print is here to stay, with different segments growing at varied rates. Packaging is expanding, and publishing is doing well. We are enthusiastic about the growth prospects. Those who can balance conventional and digital printing will gain a competitive edge. There is a substantial business in conventional printing for long runs and lower costs, and a growing need for digital solutions,” Parikh concluded.
