Mehta Hitech Industries, known for its advanced CNC, laser, and digital printing technologies, made a significant leap into the packaging industry at Packvision Expo 2024. The company highlighted its newly launched digital single-pass printer, designed for printing on corrugated boxes and cardboard.
Dharmesh Gadhavi, the product head at Mehta Hitech, discussed the company’s new direction and its potential impact. “Although we have had the sample-making machine for the last six years, we recently launched our digital single-pass printer to mark our presence in the packaging industry,” he said. According to him, this was a move to leverage its existing expertise to create a place in the competitive packaging sector.

At the expo, Mehta Hitech not only presented samples produced by its new printer but also demonstrated its digital knife cutting and creasing machine, which offers post-printing solutions. Additionally, the company showcased the LaseJet, a laser marking and coding machine designed for end-of-line solutions. The live demonstrations at its stand provided visitors with a comprehensive view of their capabilities and innovations.
Discussing the company’s venture into packaging, Gadhavi said their existing proficiency with sample-making machines provided a solid foundation. He emphasized that entering the full-scale packaging market was a logical progression. “Since we already had expertise with the sample-making machine, there’s no harm in fully entering the industry. With increasing demand for eco-friendly products, corrugated boards are gaining prominence. Our experience with corrugated and cardboard materials positions us well to succeed in the packaging industry,” he said.
“This is our first exhibition where we have participated as a packaging solution provider,” he said. The positive feedback and overwhelming response from the visitors were encouraging signs for Mehta Hitech’s new venture.
The company, formerly known as Mehta Cad Cam Systems Private Limited, recently underwent a significant transformation to become Mehta Hitech Industries Limited. Shailesh Mehta, the director of Mehta Hitech Industries, said, “This transformation is more than just a name change; it’s a commitment to our customers and partners. ‘Growing With You’ summarizes our dedication to fostering collaborative relationships and mutual growth.”
