Goebel IMS is displaying their high speed T2 family of slitter-rewinders for slitting, perforating paper and board of any kind at drupa (Stand 10E61). The T2 Series features single shaft center winders, ideal for converting aseptic packaging, filter and specialty papers. The T2 family of slitting machines are equipped with an idle, lay-on roller and have numerous options available. Basic models have a working width of up to 2,200 mm (86.6 inches) and a rewind diameter of up to 1,800 mm (70.9 inches), at a maximum speed of up to 1,200 metres a minute (3,937 feet a minute). The T2 can also be configured for bi-directional inspection rewinding for repairing telescoped or damaged rolls.
In the past year Goebel IMS has seen an increasing demand for its paper and board converting machines, particularly in Asia. Shandong Renfeng China, a leading filter paper supplier to the automotive industry ordered one T2, a high-quality slitter-rewinder for the use of slitting as well as perforating corrugated and non-corrugated filter paper.
