Ultimate TechnoGraphics Launches New Software: Ultimate BestCut

Ultimate TechnoGraphics, a leader in imposition and finishing automation, has announced a new addition to its portfolio – the Ultimate BestCut. Based on AI algorithms, this software solution is designed to automatically plan the best cut sequence and advise the guillotine operator of the cut scenario to follow, it is essentially the best buddy of a Guillotine Operator.

“We are pleased to launch this initiative thanks to the collaboration of Itotec cutting devices,” says Julie Watson, Ultimate TechnoGraphics CEO. “We knew there was a need for this solution in the market for devices that were until now not JDF driven. Devices of the future must be automation driven and customers are making this a requirement to achieve end-to-end workflow.”

“Ultimate designed and developed this new software solution based on all the latest software development techniques available and is designed to be robust and performant. Future-proofing and automating production print facilities with intuitive solutions is our main focus.”

Ultimate BestCut is planned to be released in Q4 2023 and available for distribution via Best Graphics, the US distributor for post press and packaging hardware. It is designed initially to work in symbiose with the Itotec paper cutters and is delivered with a manufacturer recommended kit including touchscreen and barcode scanner.

“We are very pleased with our collaboration with Ultimate to provide our clients with a JDF interface to the Itotec paper cutters. Ultimate BestCut offers an intuitive cut sequence animation to follow while planning out the best cutting approach to save time and resources,” says A.J. Brahm, partner at Best Graphics. “We are also pleased to announce the practice implementation and support of the solution in the field through our wide network of knowledgeable technicians and application specialists.”

“We believe Ultimate BestCut will be of great benefit to Itotec users and we recommend the solution” says Seiki Arashi, CEO of Itotec.

Visitors of Printing United can see the solution running live as a first worldwide showcased in Best Graphics stand #B10079 with an Itotec 45, and in Ultimate TechnoGraphics stand #B10073.
