DuPont Advanced Printing will highlight its newest enhancements to the flexographic printing workflow process and showcase its pre-press offerings at Labelexpo India 2018 in Greater Noida, India, from 22-25 November. DuPont will showcase the Cyrel FAST 2000 TD thermal processor, Cyrel FAST 1000 ECLF exposure, light finisher and post exposure unit and DuPont Cyrel EASY flexographic printing plate technology. At stand E10 A in Hall 3, customers will get to see live prepress workflow for flexo platemaking.
DuPont’s stand will be next to Esko’s which is E10B, and demonstrations will show the entire process from packaging design to the workflow driving the Crystal XPS 4835 digital flexo imager and the processing on the latest DuPont Cyrel FAST 2000 TD and the Cyrel FAST 1000 ECLF exposure, light finisher and post exposure unit. The entire flexo platemaking process will be demonstrated using the DuPont Cyrel EASY flexo plates.
The latest addition to the DuPont portfolio, the Cyrel FAST 2000 TD is a thermal, solvent-free flexographic plate processor which provides outstanding quality and productivity in a mid-size (42” x 60”) format for both flexible packaging as well as tag and label applications. The new ergonomic and compact design features several cutting-edge tools and technologies that contribute to higher plate quality, easier workflow and improved machine serviceability.
Cyrel EASY plates are based on a new polymer that produces higher ink transfer and higher resolution. Customer testing has shown significantly improved higher solid ink densities in shadow areas without compromising on highlights. The new Cyrel EASY technology platform simplifies the prepress process by building the flat top digital dot directly into the plate, resulting in increased productivity and consistency. This simplifies the plate making workflow, with fewer steps and higher consistency without the need to invest in a nitrogen exposure unit, LED technology or lamination equipment to get flat top dots. Cyrel EASY plates are available for FAST/thermal and solvent processing and in engineered and smooth surfaces.
DuPont Cyrel 1000 ECLF can expose, post-expose and finish high quality photopolymer plates up to a format of 900 x 1,200 mm (36” x 48”). Unique to this exposure unit is the anodized temperature controlled bed, closed loop system that controls the exposure bed temperature, which translates into predictable and consistent exposures. The unit is fitted with a light integrator that compensates for the decrease in light output as the tubes age. To meet the demanding needs of high quality plates, the user can easily customize the 24 basic exposure set-ups.
