The Mumbai Mudrak Sangh (MMS) on 20 September announced that Ashok Holkar will assume the role of president, following its 60th annual general meeting at the Orchid Hotel in Mumbai. Holkar succeeds Prakash Canser.

In his post-AGM address, Holkar expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the MMS. “Our industry is at a pivotal moment, with rapid technological advancements and evolving market needs. As we face these changes, it is essential that we come together as a strong, unified community. My vision for Mumbai Mudrak Sangh is to ensure that we not only adapt but thrive in this new environment,” he said.

Holkar outlined one of his primary goals: expanding MMS’s membership base. “Many small printers and businesses across Mumbai can benefit from being part of this association. We must reach out to them, bringing them into our fold and providing a platform where they feel supported. By doing this, we can create a more inclusive and vibrant community that represents all segments of our industry,” he added.

He said small and medium-sized printers often face the greatest challenges in today’s competitive market, and emphasised the association’s role in providing resources, guidance, and opportunities to help these businesses grow, compete, and thrive.

Holkar stressed the need for the printing industry to evolve with emerging technologies, such as digital printing and automation, and noted it is crucial that MMS members remain informed and equipped to embrace these innovations. MMS will collaborate with technology partners to provide training and resources to help printers modernise and stay competitive.

He concluded by emphasising the importance of unity, encouraging collaboration, dialog, and networking within the association to build a stronger future for the industry.

The newly appointed MMS office bearers include Kedar Ambekar and Rajiv Joshi as vice presidents, Rahul Kulkarni as treasurer, Jigar Satra as secretary, Bhushan Dhote as joint secretary, and Tushar Dhote and Mehul Shah as members of the managing committee.

In addition to the announcement of new office bearers, the post-AGM session featured presentations from Konica Minolta on their solutions, Yes Bank on financing avenues for the printing sector, and MNB & Co. on SME IPOs.
