Cito Systems has long been dedicated to developing consumables for the die-cutting, stripping, and blanking segments of the packaging industry. Since becoming part of the Bobst Group in 2020, Cito has played an integral role in Bobst’s consumables business, offering a wide portfolio of solutions to box makers, tool manufacturers, and the printing industry, including creasing solutions for offset printing presses.
In India, the company is represented by New Delhi-based CGSASP. At IndiaCorr Expo Mumbai, Cito showcased its range of solutions, with a particular emphasis on innovations in the stripping process, an area that has gained increasing importance in corrugated packaging. Markus Baldauf from Cito highlighted the introduction of a new presser plate technology, which replaces the traditional use of foam to hold the board in place during stripping. This advancement keeps the sheet perfectly flat, enabling faster production and greater efficiency.

Arun Gandhi of CGSASP discussed Cito’s market position in India, particularly in corrugation, estimating their market share to be around 60-70%. While there are competitors that prioritize lower pricing, Cito has focused on enhancing the industry’s standards, he said. Over the past few decades, the company has introduced new die-cutting techniques and educated the market on its products’ technical advantages, solidifying its position as a leader rather than just another player in the field.
Collaboration with Bobst
Since joining the Bobst Group, Cito has forged a close partnership with Bobst, leading to a valuable exchange of expertise. Baldauf said this collaboration has allowed Cito’s innovations to be tested and refined in real-world applications with Bobst’s customers and equipment, further advancing the industry’s capabilities.
