Vinsak, a leading supplier of printing and packaging solutions, has installed India’s first Lombardi Smartline press at Kundli-based labels provider Print Panache. This latest addition to Vinsak’s portfolio is an entry-level solution designed to meet the evolving needs of label converters and follows the success of the Lombardi I2, the company said.

The new Smartline press, on the heels of the proven Lombardi Synchroline platform, produces precision pressure-sensitive paper and film labels, and accommodates up to 450 mm web width, with a printing width of 430 mm.

Serving over 1,200 clients across India, and over 30 years of experience Print Panache produces one million labels and half-a-million cartons per day, specializing in self-adhesive and pressure-sensitive labels and high-quality carton boxes across sectors such as food and beverages, personal care, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and more.

“This marks our third Lombardi installation with Vinsak, and with each new addition, our trust in their technology and support continues to grow,” said partner Anuj Kumar Gupta. “The Lombardi Smartline press will play a crucial role in enhancing our production capabilities and maintaining the high standards of quality we are known for,” added partners Shaswat and Raghav Bansal.

The Smartline advantage

Featuring servo-driven components, Smartline provides accurate web tension control, making it ideal for high-quality label production with minimal downtime, the company said It is equipped with servo-driven unwinder and infeed modules, eight UV flexo printing stations, die-cutting station, and outfeed/rewinding station.

The Smartline’s flexible configurations allow Print Panache to tailor production processes according to client specifications. Its rail-mounted system includes essential modules like delam/relam, air-assisted turn bar, and cold foil units, which expand the range of label finishes available. Its mechatronic system minimizes transmission parts like gears and belts, resulting in lower maintenance costs and increased machine uptime.

“India has always been a key market with a special focus, and Print Panache, our key customer, consistently drives us to innovate,” stated Massimo Lombardi, general manager of Lombardi Converting Machinery in Italy.

Vinsak is a supplier of printing and packaging solutions in India, Africa, and the Middle East. It has enabled many businesses to succeed by providing them with customized solutions that were well integrated and supported to deliver high returns on investments.
