UCIMA
UCIMA is headquartered in Modena, in a central position with respect to the geographical distribution of the companies, at Villa Marchetti, home to two other national associations of capital goods producers (Acimac and Amaplast).

The international journey of We Make Packaging, the brand through which Ucima promotes Italian packaging technologies worldwide, continues. Following stops in the Philippines, South Africa, Vietnam, Algeria, and Uzbekistan, the world tour now moves to two new events on the African continent: Propak East Africa, scheduled to take place in Nairobi from 20 to 22 May and Propak Mena, set to be held in Cairo from 2 to 4 June.

In Nairobi, Ucima will take part in the leading trade show in East Africa dedicated to packaging, processing and printing, organizing a collective participation in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE).

The event will take place at the Sarit Exhibition Center and will feature 17 Italian companies: Andreotti Impianti, Ballestra, Binacchi E.C., Comat Technology, Galdi, Goglio, I.L.P.R.A., IPI, Milkita Group (Pietribiasi Michelangelo), Montello, Previero N., R.Bardi, Sacmi, Sapack, Siad Macchine Impianti, SMI, and Tecnicam. Italy ranks as Kenya’s third largest trading partner in the sector, holding a 12.3% market share and a trade value of 4.1 million Euros.

From 2 to 4 June, the We Make Packaging World Tour will also be present with a group participation at Propak Mena, held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo. Egypt currently ranks as Africa’s second largest importer of packaging technologies, just after Algeria.

In 2024, total imports reached 207.6 million Euros, marking a 30% increase over the previous year. Italy retains the top position among Egypt’s trade partners in the sector, with 70.3 million Euros in exports, a 33.9% market share, and a 58% increase compared to 2023.

With these new stops, the We Make Packaging tour continues to pursue its mission of promoting Italian technological and manufacturing excellence around the world, highlighting the strategic role of international trade fairs in the globalization efforts of companies within the packaging industry.
