Product manager Michael Feinauer (left) and his colleagues from the design, assembly, and sales departments are proud to have won the 2026 German Packaging Award.

Optima’s SpeedCare Line Smart machine platform has been awarded the German Packaging Award 2026. With this award, the jury recognizes a solution that enables manufacturers of OTC products as well as personal care and home care products to achieve greater production flexibility while addressing the evolving requirements of modern markets.

The solution features an innovative, format-independent conveyor system. It enables tool-free and largely automated format changes in less than 20 minutes and allows different container types and formats to be processed on the same line. The platform can be operated flexibly with or without a puck and achieves outputs of up to 240 packages per minute.

According to the jury, the SpeedCare Line Smart stands out particularly for its combination of flexibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Compared with conventional filling and closing lines, the solution offers significantly shorter changeover and cleaning times. As a result, manufacturers can make smaller batch sizes economically viable and respond more quickly to changing market demands.

The jury also highlighted the positive impact on resource efficiency. Reduced waste, shorter downtime, and demand-driven production contribute to lower energy and material consumption per package. This enables manufacturers to combine sustainability goals with high production performance.

“This award reflects Optima’s commitment to developing innovative technologies that provide measurable value to our customers while setting new standards for flexibility in packaging and filling technology,” says product manager Michael Feinauer.

Optima is a technology leader in the precise dosing, filling, packaging and handling of demanding liquid and solid products.
