For Avery Dennison, a leader in materials science and digital identification solutions, Loupe India comes at an interesting time for the labelling and packaging industry. The role of labels is expanding beyond decoration and brand communication. At the Loupe India show, scheduled from 29 October to 1 November 2026 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, the company will showcase its innovations across various applications at hall 9, stand C15.

According to Jitesh Mehta, senior director, marketing, South Asia, Avery Dennison, customers see labels as functional, intelligent, performance-led components of a package, supporting everything from product integrity and compliance to traceability, circularity, and consumer engagement. Avery Dennison expects Loupe India 2026 to have more application-led conversations with brands, converters and manufacturers.

Mehta says, “The industry is moving from asking ‘what label looks good’ to what label works best for this application, this substrate, this supply chain and this sustainability goal? That is a very important shift. We expect the show to reflect this transition clearly. There will be strong interest in premiumization, material efficiency, connected products, RFID, pharma labelling, durable applications, and solutions that can help brands balance performance with sustainability. For us, Loupe India 2026 is an opportunity to engage with customers on practical innovation that can work at scale in the Indian market.”

The biggest highlight of this edition will be how the industry is viewing labels as a strategic part of packaging, the supply chain, and the consumer experience. Mehta expects discussions to move beyond conventional labelling and focus more deeply on performance, traceability, sustainability, digital identification and application-specific solutions.

At the Avery Dennison stand, the Retail & FMCG zone will showcase premium labelling solutions with focus on shelf differentiation, functionality and material efficiency. The pharma zone will focus on reliable adhesion, product identification, security and performance under demanding conditions. The Durables zone will highlight engineered solutions for automotive, industrial and durable goods applications, including wire harnesses where resistance to heat, chemicals, abrasion and challenging substrates becomes critical.

A key highlight will be its Digital Solutions/RFID zone, where it will demonstrate how RFID and digital identification technologies can enable item-level visibility, authentication, inventory accuracy and stronger connections between physical products and digital information. Sustainability will run across the showcase, with solutions focused on reducing material use, enabling recycling, incorporating recycled or renewable content, and improving material efficiency without compromising performance.

In pharma, we will highlight healthcare and pharmaceutical labelling solutions where reliable adhesion, security, identification and performance under demanding conditions are essential. In Durables, they will showcase engineered labelling and functional material solutions for automotive, industrial and durable goods applications, including wire harnesses and other challenging use cases.

“At Loupe India 2026, we will showcase a broad portfolio of solutions across pressure-sensitive materials, adhesive technologies, intelligent labels, RFID and functional materials. The idea is to demonstrate how materials science can help brands improve packaging functionality, product integrity, operational efficiency, shelf impact, and supply chain visibility. The segment has grown and matured. The growth is not only in volume, but in the quality of conversations we are having with customers. There is greater awareness around packaging performance, material efficiency, sustainability, connected products and traceability,” he said.

Since the last edition, Avery has seen brands become more specific about what they expect from labelling solutions. In FMCG and retail, there is a stronger focus on premiumization, shelf impact and responsible material choices. In pharma, the emphasis on security, compliance and reliable performance continues to grow.

In durables and industrial applications, customers are looking for engineered solutions that can perform under tougher conditions. At the same time, digital identification and RFID are becoming more relevant as businesses look for better inventory accuracy, product authentication and item-level visibility.

“India is at a particularly important stage in this journey. The market is growing, but it is also becoming more sophisticated. Customers are looking for solutions that are globally proven, locally relevant and scalable. That is why local manufacturing, technical expertise, and application support become extremely important for the next phase of growth,” he said.
