Pamex ‘17 roadshow in Amritsar

With less than a month to go for Pamex 2017 edition, the organizers have come together to start promoting the event for better reach. After the success of its earlier edition in 2015, PAMEX 2017 is expected to offer a better and bigger platform for industry stakeholders to congregate and explore the growth opportunity within the print industry.

PAMEX 2017 will be held from 18 to 21 December at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. The event is being organized by the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) in association with Print-Packaging.com.

There has never been a visitor promotion program like this in India before and never before has the Indian Master Printers Association made such a strong effort to meet its constituent members, listen to them and invite them personally to the upcoming show, which is expected to have 275 exhibitors.

Tushar Dhote, chairman of PAMEX, is leading this huge effort of printer meetings in the southern Indian state of Kerala; in a ten-city tour of Maharashtra; and, now across the Hindi heartland in Uttar Pradesh. This is a great sign of activism and unity which should inspire printers across the country to come to PAMEX not only to see the latest products on display from leading international and Indian suppliers of equipment and consumables, but also to take part in the Print Business Outlook Conference being organized by the BMPA and NPES on 16 December 2017, at the Lalit Hotel in Mumbai.

The organizers of the show—AIFMP and local printing authorities of various towns and cities—have been collaborating to organize Grassroot Contact Programs for over a month now. The second Pamex ‘17 roadshow was held in Kochi and then moved to Kottayam, which was attended by more than 400 printers. The event was organized by Kerala Printers Association at CSI retreat centre. The event was inaugurated by the former chief minister of Kerala, Oommen Chandy. AIFMP President, AMSG Ashokan invited all the printers from Kerala to visit the upcoming event. Vice President (South), O Venugopal, Former President R Suresh and former General Secretary CD Kumaravel were also present at the event.

The Glassroot Contact Programs then moved to Maharashtra where 10 programs were conducted. The events took place in Ichalkaranji, Kudal, Solapur, Pandharpur, Latur, Barshi, Ahmednagar, Jalna, Buldana, and Akola.

The Grassroot Contact Programs also covered Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh. At the regional level, promotional events were conducted at various places including Lucknow, Indore, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Chennai. Pamex ‘17 goes international this year with events in Colombo and Dhaka.

A large number of B2B visitors are expected at the show. Visitors expected would be printers and print buyers, publishers, converters, corrugated box manufacturers, quality control managers from FMCG and retail sectors, government agencies and associations, end users influencing audience segments like design houses and art directors, and production managers of corporate companies, among others.
