Esko has appointed Jason Chia as business development director – flexo, South East Asia and South Asia

Esko is pleased to welcome back Chia to Esko in Singapore. Chia was most recently the sales leader/business development and account manager, Packaging for Asia Pacific at Kodak. Prior to Kodak, he joined Sevenace Group as deputy general manager (sales and marketing) for South China and Hong Kong, based out of Guangzhou. Sevenace is a distributor of Toray’s brand of letterpress plates, a product portfolio complementing the narrow-web printing segment of Esko’s prepress software and CDI.

Chia’s foray into the prepress packaging and printing industry was way back in 1997 when he joined the then Barco-Graphics as a field service engineer. He progressed thereafter into marketing and presales functions in Shanghai in 2005 where Esko was then just building out its presence. Winderam says, “We are confident Chia will help position Esko to gain further inroads with our CDIs and HD Flexo in South East Asia and India, working with our resellers, partners, and sales/ marketing teams in targeting and opening up specific segments with our full array of flexo solutions.”

Packaging South Asia is the cooperating media partner for drupa 2016 which is scheduled to be held from 31 May to 10 June at Dusseldorf, Germany.
