The panel discussion is part of a high-level multi-sectoral national conference on manufacturing on 7 August. Eight key sectors — established, critical, and emerging — have been identified to be represented, highlighted, and showcased in this conference, as all these sectors are playing a crucial role in the Indian growth story on manufacturing.

One of the critical sectors identified for this conference is the Indian printing and packaging industry, given the sector’s importance to Indian manufacturing by way of contributing to seamless production processes and exportability.

The printing and packaging sector in India is a crucial segment of the country’s manufacturing industry. It serves a broad array of end-user markets, including food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, and electronics. This sector is witnessing rapid growth due to rising consumer demand, increasing urbanization, and technological advancements.

The objective of this sectoral conference is to address the opportunities and challenges faced by the sector in the present VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity) world. The conference will explore the future of the Indian printing and packaging industry, focusing on strategies and mechanisms used by innovative organizations.

Participants will gain insights into sustainable practices, essential manufacturing processes, talent development, customer inclusion, and necessary policy imperatives for a robust future roadmap.
