Mumbai-based SP Ultraflex had a young and dynamic team at drupa 2024, enthusiastically guiding and attending to visitors. Led by CEO Biku Kohli, the team had a valuable learning experience at one of the most important expos for the printing and packaging industry. drupa 2024 was held in Düsseldorf from 28 May to 7 June.

In addition to Biku Kohli, the SP Ultraflex team included Gatik Arora, Bhuvnesh Sharma, Rohan Pankar, Sukh Kohli, Laxmi Ghagre, Sweta Sharma, and Mohammed Hamza. All team members interacted with Packaging South Asia and shared that their experience at drupa was truly one of a kind.

Gatik Arora, senior executive, sales (exports), mentioned that the company’s stand attracted existing and potential visitors from across the globe, including India. “We were happy to welcome our existing customers and demonstrate our machines that were running live. I have been waiting to participate in drupa since 2019, and it has been amazing. I could not visit the last drupa as it was canceled,” he said.

At drupa 2024, SP Ultraflex showcased its cutting-edge Roboslit Plus Series 1000 mpm dual turret slitter rewinder, the Roboslit Plus OHP running at 1,000 mpm.

Bhuvnesh Sharma, sales executive, spoke about the profile of the visitors, noting that both international and Indian visitors to the SP Ultraflex stall were well-informed and keen to learn about the technology. “This was my first international expo, and I met several visitors from West Africa, which was a great experience for me,” he said.

For Rohan Pankar, sales engineer at SP Ultraflex, drupa was his first trip outside of India. “This is a dream come true for me. It’s my first time abroad, and I’m thankful to SP Ultraflex for this opportunity. I finally met many customers in person with whom I had only interacted over the phone or email. It was a fantastic experience,” Pankar shared.

Sukh Kohli, a management trainee at SP Ultraflex, also found drupa to be a wonderful experience. “This was my first time at drupa. I recently joined the company, and getting to know the industry at a place like drupa has been invaluable. It provided me with a great platform to understand the ins and outs of our industry,” he said.

Laxmi Ghagre, who manages spare parts and customer support, expressed her excitement about being at drupa, her first overseas exhibition. “I’m thrilled to be here as part of SP Ultraflex. It’s a great opportunity to showcase my skills,” she said.

Sweta Sharma, who handles human resources, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to attend drupa. “The company gave me this wonderful opportunity to experience drupa 2024. It was a great experience to see so many organizations, many of which are global manufacturers,” she noted.

Mohammed Hamza, assistant manager for control and automation, highlighted the privilege of demonstrating their machine at 1000 mpm speed for the first time outside India. After drupa, Hamza visited France to oversee the installation of the Roboslit Plus OHP at a customer site.

It was a proud moment for me and the company to demonstrate the outstanding performance of our machine. We hope it will deliver the same results at the customer’s site,” Hamza said.
