Fasiculus, in collaboration with Vinsak and Rotatek, demonstrated authentication solutions at the Traceability and Authentication Forum 2025. The Fasiculus team highlighted the advantages of using their authentication solutions for printing and packaging, and urged brand owners to combine such solutions for greater efficacy .
The Fasiculus stand at the event highlighted it hardware and software – its Vinsak’s Speed-Jet press and Rotatek’s Perfect NT production press. The Speed-Jet Press is particularly suited for security code printing, variable data printing (VDP), transactional statements, and book printing.
With the latest servo motor technology, the production press allows multiple configurations and combinations of printing technologies (offset, flexo for varnishes and spot security inks, screen for braille and OVI inks, gravure for gold and silver inks, and many more), in addition to finishing applications that obtain a top-quality finished product – all in a single pass.
According to the company, the Speed-Jet has proven records in numerous products that involve mixed printing processes – such as security for bonds, value documents, diplomas, tax labels, stamps, stamp paper, train, bus or airline tickets, museum shows and sports events tickets, and cheques. There are longstanding value added security label customers in spirits, wines, and liquors, pharmaceutical and cosmetics; and, in carton packaging using a variety of foils, metalized films, and paperboard.
Mohammed Rizwan, marketing manager at Fasiculus demonstrated the company’s combination of authentication solutions in detail – a suite of technologies to help brand owners combat counterfeiting and ensure product authenticity.
“The three authenticators from Fasiculus – Fasi Mark, Fasi Code, and Fasi Colour — give the brand owner various options to integrate authentication in their products,” Rizwan explained. Fasi Mark is an invisible, non-copiable watermark solution, Fasi Code is a non-copiable digital passport, which is an encrypted code placed next to a QR code on product packaging, and Fasi Colour is a non-copiable magic color change feature that embeds dynamic color alterations, thwarting replication attempts and enhancing counterfeit security measures effectively.
He emphasized that a combination of visible and invisible inks, intricate security patterns, advanced software solutions, and other authentication solutions adds substantial complexity for counterfeiters attempting to replicate products. “Combining the various available solutions, such as patterns, visible and invisible inks, makes it difficult to copy,” he said.
Beyond implementing the authentication solutions, Rizwan highlighted the importance of consumer education. He said consumers must be made aware of the benefits of using genuine products and the severe risks associated with counterfeit goods.
“We need to educate consumers on why using authentic products matters. Understanding the consequences of counterfeit products will drive greater concern and caution among buyers,” he stated. Rizwan believes informed consumers are less likely to fall prey to fake products, thus promoting brand integrity and ensuring long-term customer loyalty.
While authentication technologies offer protection against counterfeiting, Rizwan noted that the benefits are not immediately evident. He described these as long-term investments that gradually enhances brand reputation and consumer trust.
“Brand owners might not see instant results, but the long-term benefits of securing their products and maintaining consumer confidence are undeniable,” he said.
