The Delhi-based Colormann group participated in the Cosmohome Tech Expo from 19 – 21 July at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi – showcasing its composite containers and monocartons.

The composite containers made from paper are for healthcare, perfumes, personal care, cosmetics and nutraceutical products and are much in demand, according to Ramesh Panwar, managing director, Colormann. Being sustainable, they are long-lasting and are kept by customers even after the product inside is used.

Based in Delhi’s Bawana and Mangolpuri industrial areas, the company started manufacturing paper-based composite containers in December last year. Panwar says there was a gap in the composite containers segment with a huge difference in demand and supply. With this new initiative, the company plans to fill this gap.

The company also manufactures all types of monocartons such as flute cartons, folding cartons, and PVC cartons. The Vgon group, Chaayos, Sirona Hygiene for menstrual cups and a US brand getting protein powder from a Manesar-based company are some of Colormann’s clients.

Talking about the industry, Panwar says when a customer like Pernod Ricard removes monocartons, it is a huge setback. “That is around Rs 1,000 crore -1100 crore gone from the monocartons market.”

Panwar was referring to Pernod Ricard, a global name in the wine and spirits industry, deciding to remove permanent monocartons across its portfolio of brands. Ricard gradually plans to extend this initiative to include its portfolio of imported brands.
