Maharashtra-based RR Plast, a manufacturer and exporter of plastic extrusion machinery and equipment, promoted its plastic recycling solutions at the second Global Conclave on Plastics Recycling and Sustainability in Delhi in June 2025.
The company manufactures plastic sheet extrusion lines for thermoforming, packaging, industrial applications, chemical tanks, luggage bags and the automotive industry as well as plastic recycling machines. RR Plast also manufactures agricultural pipe machines, HDPE pipe machines, drip irrigation and drain pipe machines for irrigation purposes.
“We have different types of recycling machines based on the type of plastic packaging, Pravin Avhad, sales manager at RR Plast told Packaging South Asia. He explained that in hopper-type machines, hard and rigid plastics, such as those used for plastic chairs and buckets, are fed. There is another plastic recycling machine for flexible film waste, including plastic carry bags and cement bags.
The company’s cutter compacter machines require less manpower, power and storage space, Avhad said, adding RR Plast supplies its plastic recycling and extrusion machines in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra along with all Southern states.

RR Plast also supplies to more than 65 countries, including the Gulf, Turkey, Egypt, Poland, Spain, Russia, Latin-American countries, and the African continent.
For the last four years, the company has consistently sold more than 200 machines in the Indian and global markets, Avhad said, adding the company has had an annual turnover of over Rs 250 crore for the last three years, with 55-60% of its profits coming from exports.
“Three years ago, India’s plastic recycling community was unorganized. Though many individuals and companies were recycling plastic, they were doing it at their own level with local machines and minimal technology. There were no associations, organizations or exhibitions dedicated to recycling. However, the situation changed in the last three years. Now, there is a demand for quality machines and technology. The recycling industry is gradually getting organized in India,” Avhad said.
India is one of the largest consumers of plastics, where recycling can’t be ignored, he said, adding their client, Green RecyckloPlast, based in Bengaluru, has been recycling multi-layer flexible packaging from Kurkure packs with vacuum metallizing and transforming it into writing pads and flower pots, along with other household items.
RR Plast was founded in 1981 by Ramesh Kamble. Today, Kamble and his son Jagdish Kamble is in charge of operations and management. The company’s head office is located in Andheri in Mumbai, while the plant is located in Asangaon in Thane district.
