A big discussion on the future of sustainability in the plastics sector comes to London on 21 September at the sixth international Plasticity Forum, where the design community will learn how to help client brands, and products they are developing, become part of a worldwide movement working towards creating a circular economy in which waste is a redundant concept.
Aimplas, the Plastics Technology Centre, has completed its participation in the European project Innorex. By means of these researches, it has been possible to develop an innovative process to obtain polylactic acid (PLA) improving its mechanical properties and thereby allowing its application in injected packages and replacing polypropylene.
The winners of this big showcase have been chosen in the international German Packaging Award 2016. An independent expert jury selected the 35 best packaging solutions out of more than 200 entries from Germany, France, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland and Switzerland. The organizer, the German Packaging Institute (dvi) invites guests to the award ceremony on 27 September as part of a public presentation at the FachPack trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany.
