On 17 September 2025, leading Ahmedabad-based packaging company Scancode Auto ID Technology, announced its strategic investment in a Domino N610i-H Hybrid Digital Label press to drive its newly launched digital printing division, IMPRENTA. The hybrid press on order contains 5-colors using six inkjet printheads (there are two whites) and two flexo units. The first flexo unit is for a primer followed by the six inkjet arrays for printing two whites plus cyan, magenta, yellow, and black at 600 x 600 DPI resolution, followed by a flexo unit for varnish.

Finalized during Labelexpo Europe 2025 and the announced on the second day of show, signals Scancode’s expansion into high-performance digital packaging. IMPRENTA is designed to meet the growing demand for agile, short-run, and multi-SKU packaging solutions across industries such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, automotive, industrial, and food.

“IMPRENTA is our vision for the future of packaging—fast, flexible, and uncompromising in quality,” said Mitesh Patel, managing director, Scancode Auto ID Technology. “The Domino N610i-H Hybrid is the technological backbone of this vision, enabling us to deliver exceptional results across labels, shrink sleeves, and flexible pouches.”

The Domino N610i-H Hybrid Digital Label Press combines digital inkjet with traditional flexographic printing, allowing Scancode to produce specialty short runs and high-volume production. The machine’s hybrid capability enables high print quality, accelerated turnaround, and cost efficiency— offering brand owners a competitive edge

“We’re proud to support Scancode’s launch of IMPRENTA,” said Ajay RaoRane, vice president of Digital Printing Solutions at Domino Printech India. “The Domino N610i-H Hybrid is engineered for innovation, and IMPRENTA is a perfect showcase of what’s possible when technology meets vision.”

Scancode’s investment demonstrates its commitment to innovative next-generation packaging solutions for evolving market demands, regulatory transitions such as GS1’s move to QR codes, and packaging sustainability goals. IMPRENTA positions Scancode as a pioneer in India’s digital packaging landscape—ready to contribute to the new and compelling brand narratives that market are demanding.

At its Labelexpo stand Domino is showing two new presses driven by its Sunrise digital front end. The first is a high–end n730i 1200 dpi hybrid ready for the market and the second, which is particularly interesting is the compact 410 a press with five digital color units, that will first be sold beta sites and early adopters and is likely to reach India possibly in late 2026.
