At drupa 2024, Miraclon, a leading innovator in flexo pre-press technology, will showcase an impressive array of new product innovations and real-world success stories. The core focus for Miraclon at drupa 2024 would be 12 case studies showcasing the commercial success achieved by leveraging Miraclon’s Flexcel NX technology.

In addition to highlighting its record of success, Miraclon will unveil nine new product innovations at drupa 2024. Among these innovations is the Flexcel NX Ultra 42 processor, designed to push the boundaries of technological excellence in flexo pre-press. Miraclon will introduce the Shine LED lamp kits, offering a cost-effective solution for UV LED plate exposure along with a preview of next-generation Flexcel NX plate and Flexcel NX Ultra plate technologies.

Fortunately, at the same time, new technology and techniques are driving flexo to a higher standard for package printing,” Chris Payne, chief executive officer, said at the pre-drupa press meet in late March.

Payne said flexo’s growth is driven by increased spend on packaging in the emerging markets and print process substitution.

As modern flexo capabilities are implemented everywhere, print jobs that previously have been done with offset and by other applications can now be done on flexo. Flexography is by far the largest print process, both by value and volume, and will continue to be the most important technology for packaging print for decades to come,” he said.

Emma Weston, chief marketing officer of Miraclon, discussed the company’s post-pandemic adaptation strategy, highlighting its commitment to customer-centric innovation.

Like many companies, we’ve had to adapt and we’ve been focusing on working one-on-one with customers to bring them the innovations and the services that they need and then rolling those out one country at a time, rather than making global new product announcements,” she said.

Weston said that of the nine innovations that Miraclon will feature at drupa, most have yet to be globally announced. “All of them are in customers, either in commercial production or in testing. And at drupa, we’re ready to talk about all of them,” she said.
