Bostik India, a global adhesive specialist serving the industrial, construction, and consumer markets, looks forward to the 12th Specialty Films & Flexible Packaging Global Business Summit & Exhibition 2025, scheduled for 3-4 September 2025, at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.

According to Amit Bhargava, business director – AP and C, Bostik India, the Elite conference is a platform where the industry will delve deeply into sustainability and recyclability. “It is a platform for decision makers and pioneers of the industry. It’s a great place to know market demands and trends that will shape the future markets.”

Bhargava says Bostik has defined its product range to replace quite a few traditional products used in making adhesives, he explained Bostik is increasingly using bio-based material to replace Isocyanates and Petroleum based resources.

We have developed adhesives that can be used with a laminate and make it recyclable. Adhesives approved by Recyclass, hot melt, water-based, and solvent-free products are the steps we have taken toward sustainability. Furthermore, with the acquisition of Dow in 2024, we will be talking about the innovative solutions we can offer together at Elite,” Bhargava said.

Bhargava lauded Indian manufacturers for possessing one of the highest capacities to produce BOPP and polyester films. However, raw material imports that are not FDA-approved are a challenge as they disturb the market, he said, adding the company expects a stronger penetration in the food & beverage and pharma markets.
