The world’s largest gathering dedicated to films and flexible packaging, ElitePlus, is again taking place at the Reliance Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The flagship event is expected to bring together over 2,200 delegates from more than 23 countries. Attendees will include senior leaders from flexible and rigid packaging, recyclers, converters, brand owners, raw material and additive suppliers, machinery and technology providers, AI and automation experts, sustainability specialists, and policymakers.
As of 18 August, more than 1,800 delegates representing 590 organizations from 23 nations had confirmed participation at the event, the organizers said. Around 125 exhibitors are set to showcase new technologies and solutions during the two-day expo. The sessions at ElitePlus are packed with speakers and expert panels and the highlight of the event, apart from learning from the many technical and industry experts, is always the networking.
A host of players from the packaging and allied industries are taking part whom we hope to meet, learn from, and cover meaningfully in our platforms. Many of our advertisers are also there, giving us a chance to share what is happening in the industry in confidence – and to understand how to improve our coverage of their developments and views about market challenges and technology trends. We hope to meet their customers, the converters also.
Advertisers at ElitePlus include Brilliant Polymers, whose focus is on meeting customers, partners and industry colleagues to exchange new ideas, while Jupiter Laminators will focus on sustainable packaging solutions and new-age printing techniques. Gold partner Hi-Tech Inks will showcase its product range and UK-based anilox specialist Sandon Global will highlight its sustainability-driven innovations and technical expertise, including its latest hybrid anilox technologies and flexo solutions.
Acme Rolltech will present its latest innovations in engraving technology, while Apex International will showcase its advanced anilox solutions designed to deliver gravure-like print results using flexography. Keyway will participate as a special stall partner and represent Inometa and Continental Axcyl – global leaders known for their high-quality, innovative tools for CI presses.
A highlight of Siegwerk’s participation is a presentation by Andrey Charkovskiy titled “Making Recyclable Mono-Material Packaging a Reality.” Bostik India will focus on its sustainable adhesive products. Many of our supporters and advertisers are partners and participants in the event, and we hope to meet their leadership and expert speakers at the show. These include Bobst, Chiripal, Banyan Nation, Dupont, Echaar, HP, Miraclon, Multitec, Pelican, SP Ultraflex, W&H, Uflex, Uteco, Artience, Echaar, Kohli Graphic Systems, Koehler Paper, Sakata, Vinsak-Rototek, and VK Global Digital.
Global leadership and keynote sessions
The summit will feature keynote addresses from leading organizations such as Godrej Industries, Alliance to End Plastic Waste, Reliance Consumer Products, Amul, Marico, and the DCPC, government of India. Plenary sessions will include perspectives from multinational corporations such as PepsiCo, Nestlé, and McKinsey. A special keynote by Siddhartha Sanyal, chief economist and head of research at Bandhan Bank, will examine how global trade shifts, tariff wars, and regional treaties are influencing strategies in the plastics and packaging industries.
Sustainability and policy focus at ElitePlus
The event is timed shortly after the fifth round of United Nations plastics treaty negotiations (INC-5.2) in Geneva that ended without any outcome. Dedicated sessions will decode key policy outcomes from the talks and translate them into actionable insights for India’s packaging ecosystem.
Sustainability and circular economy themes will run prominently throughout the summit. Discussions will address advanced recycling techniques, post-consumer recycled (PCR) integration, regulatory alignment, and traceability. The role of recyclers and plastic waste processors in meeting India’s recycled content mandates will also be a major focus. It is always special to catch up with recyclers such as Banyan Nation and some of the responsible communicators of industry data. Each elite event is an update of the Indian packaging industries’ evolving attitudes and solutions for sustainability, and the circular economy.
Technology and business tracks
More than 85 business presentations will explore a wide spectrum of topics, including hybrid packaging solutions that bridge flexible and rigid formats, next-generation materials such as recyclable mono-materials, coatings, and adhesives, and the growing role of digital packaging powered by AI, smart design and data analytics.
Special sessions at ElitePlus will highlight emerging applications of packaging in sectors such as electric vehicles, solar, eCommerce, fast-moving consumer goods and healthcare. Disruptive technology dialogues will cover automation, chemical recycling, traceability and decarbonization strategies.
Panel discussions are expected to include industry leaders debating innovations in raw materials, business cases for sustainability, perspectives of brand owners on the “new normal,” synergies between flexible and rigid packaging, opportunities for start-ups to tap capital markets, the new regime of plastics circularity, and the rise of emerging Indian brands revolutionizing packaging.
