Rossini India Printing Rollers, a world leading manufacturer of mandrels, sleeves & rubber rollers for flexo printing, gravure, offset printing, and lamination participated at Flexo Summit Asia, held on 26 and 27 November at Jaipur’s JECC. The company was a stand partner at the two-day residential conference that discussed the future of flexo printing in the Indian packaging industry.

In an interaction with Packaging South Asia, Ashvin Hebbar, sales director, Rossini India, talked about the current market trends, which included the growing adoption of flexo technologies and Rossini focus on sustainable innovations for the flexo industry. While admitting that flexo will get a hold of a large number of operations given how rapidly the technology is evolving, he said that “gravure is here to stay, and we can’t just do away with it.”

Speaking about the conference, he said, “The show was well organized and quite on point when it comes to knowledge sharing. Not a single presentation focused on sales; the discussions were about the industry challenges, and the content shared solves a lot of everyday problems. It would have been better if more brands could have been involved.”

Hebbar explained that the company highlighted an innovation launched at drupa 2025. “We launched Monolith 3D sleeve, a mono-component sleeve, which is composed of a mono material and is a patented product. An interesting element is its sustainable manufacturing, reduced lead time as sleeves can be made in a few hours and very light in weight which will address three very important aspects in flexo printing technology. This is arguably Rossini’s most ambitious and innovative project to date and 3D printing machines, processes and material have already been patented.”

He described the sleeve as a game-changer for the flexo industry, “it will surely revolutionize how printing is viewed in the country,” Hebbar said.
