DuPont Advanced Printing launched DuPont Cyrel Easy flexographic printing plates in India at the recently concluded Labelexpo India. Cyrel Easy is a brand new platform that uses breakthrough technology that benefits platemaking as well as printing operations. The flat-top digital dots, which are built directly into the Cyrel Easy plates, help simplify the prepress process while increasing productivity as well as consistency.

“Our focus right now is the DuPont Cyrel Easy flexographic printing plates. With the growing expectations of customers, where they are trying to match flexo print quality with that of offset and gravure, we had to come up with a new plate technology which can deliver the results. In addition, we did not want to bring in a technology to the market by adding more workflow into it. We wanted to shorten the workflow so that the productivity is high. That is how we have eliminated all the intermediate processes to create a flat-top dot and put the solution on the plate itself,” says Prasenjit Das, sales manager – South Asia Cluster, Dupont Advance Printing.

Developed specifically for flexible packaging and tag and label, Cyrel Easy plates are based on a new polymer technology that produces higher ink transfer, color saturation and resolution. Das adds, “Dupont being the inventor of photopolymeric plates, we are the market leader; we know the science behind it. Our objective is to provide our customers the best result through as simple solutions as possible.”

At Labelexpo, DuPont Advanced Printing also launched new anti-counterfeiting film for packaging, DuPont Izon 3D security film. The film utilizes industryleading DuPont imaging technology and enables the integration of overt anticounterfeiting features directly onto product packaging or labeling. The unique features of Izon make it simple and intuitive for people to verify authentic packaging, while DuPont technology defeats counterfeiters’ attempts to duplicate.
