At Pamex Mumbai, Agarwal Matpack Industries announced the booking of a 7-color with coater Komori GL 740 combi press. This marks Agarwal Matpack’s first investment in a Komori press, a decision influenced by the impressive output, sleek design, and positive recommendations from industry peers.
“The output and finish of the Komori press is good. The look of the machine is very sleek compared to similar options in the market. We talked to our friends and colleagues in the industry and took their feedback and suggestions. We met with senior officials of Komori and travelled to Hyderabad for a demo. After being fully satisfied we decided on the GL 40 press. This is a fully loaded packaging press,” said Nilesh Agarwal of the Jaipur-based Agarwal Matpack.
Agarwal Matpack, currently processing around 1500 tons of paperboard monthly at its Jaipur facility, is in the process of establishing a new manufacturing facility near the Rajasthan capital. This facility will house the newly acquired Komori press along with other advanced technologies, including rigid box making and label printing, further enhancing the company’s capabilities in the packaging industry.
Presently serving customers within a 300-400 km radius, Agarwal Matpack has plans to expand its market presence across India. The company says its commitment to growth is evident in its faster-than-industry expansion, and with the fresh round of investment, it aims to maintain this trajectory.
“We have grown faster than the industry and hope to maintain that as we embark on a fresh round of investment,” Agarwal said.
