At Interpack 2023, Stelda, a Mumbai-based packaging solutions provider, showcased the AR 500 GT, an all-random case packaging system. The company highlighted how the AR 500 can effectively address issues such as efficient logistics, circular economy, reusability, sustainability, and product security. These topics were also discussed in different forums during the event.
“One of the key advantages of the AR 500 is its ability to transport more material per vehicle by reducing bulge, thereby optimizing logistics. Stelda’s case packing solutions contribute to reducing single-use plastic through innovative approaches. For instance, they employ a new-generation hot melt adhesive that incorporates 80% natural materials and promotes sustainability. Additionally, the company’s patented ‘tamper-evident sealing’ feature serves as a deterrent against pilferage, enhancing product security,” said Pallippuram Sajith, MD at Stelda.
Sajith said the AR 500 helps eliminate BOPP tapes, straps and stretch films. AR 500’s way of sealing leads to enhanced box strength and provides greater product protection. All of this help reduce the overall cost of packaging, he said.
Interpack a great platform
At Interpack, Stelda met a number of Indian as well as overseas visitors. Sajith said their aim was also to meet visitors from countries where Bindwel has a good presence in the book-binding segment.
“Interpack is one of the leading shows for the packaging industry. It gets visitors from India and the world. We met with decision-makers from Indian and global companies. We tried to meet leading suppliers of packaging machines. Since AR 500 is an end-of-the-line packaging solution, we can supply the machine to customers who are buying these packaging machines. The packaging industry is very big and we are just a small player but trying to make a difference,” Sajith said.
