Mumbai-based flexible packaging solutions provider Sanjeev Flexi Pack kicked off interpack 2017 on an exciting note with many potential customers visiting their stand on the first day. Sanjeev Flexi Pack manufactures laminated rolls, a variety of laminated pouches and carry-bags. At interpack, the company is showing different types of solutions such as laminated pouches, laminated rolls, profile-cut pouches (with and without spouts), retort pouches and pouches made with high barrier films, among others. Its manufacturing unit is
located in the northern Mumbai suburb of Bhiwandi and has an in-house designing and prepress studio.
“The first day was indeed a very busy day for us as visitors came from countries like Ireland, Russia, UK and US. What has also helped in higher footfall is the fact that our stand was very strategically located,” said Nandhini S. Kumar, manager – exports, Sanjeev Flexi Pack. Although there were a variety of solutions on display at the stand, Sanjeev Flexi Pack was especially promoting its large format bags. These bags are mainly 15 kg or more in size and are used in packing items such as rice, flour, fertilizes, pet food, etc. “There are very few manufacturers in India who are actively offering solutions like large format bags,” Kumar informed.
Focus on global market
With exports being an important component of the company’s revenue, Sanjeev Flexi Pack keeps a good visibility in the global markets and regularly participates in various leading global exhibitions. Apart from interpack, the company was also present at the recently concluded IFE 2017 in UK. “IFE is a small show but it is a very good show with focus on the UK market. The idea was to meet with as many potential UK customers as possible since we were not able to meet many of them during other exhibitions. We consider UK as a very important market,” Kumar stated.
Last year Sanjeev Flexi Pack participated in North America’s biggest packaging event, Pack Expo International, which was held in Chicago. This year it will again be at Pack Expo Las Vegas, which will take place in September. Pack Expo is held in Chicago in even years while it takes place in Las Vegas in odd years. Last year Sanjeev Flexi Pack also participated in Emballage Paris. “We consider these events very important as they not only enhance our brand visibility but also help us meet potential customers from across the globe,” Kumar said.
