India’s largest multinational flexible packaging materials and solution company Uflex Limited displayed three machines at the recently concluded PackTech India 2016 show. The three products on show included the Multi Lane Automatic Linear Pick, Fill and Seal Machine (Model – LPFS 4T) for preformed pouches for powders/granules products; the Automatic Rotary Pick, Fill and Seal Machine (Model – PFS L) specially designed for pre-formed pouches with a spout for liquids for ease of dispensing; and the Automatic Servo Driven Form, Fill and Seal Machine (Model – CT 150 C) specially designed for light-weight products like chips and other snacks.

“Our CT-150 C Automatic Servo Driven Form, Fill and Seal machine is a perfect solution for clients from the food and snack industries who look at high processing speeds for packing light-weight products. This is a truly ‘Made in India’ machine that in terms of performance is at par with its Japanese counterpart. No other player in India has come up with such an efficient machine,” said GVN Prasad, senior general manager – marketing, Uflex Limited.

He said that with the Automatic Rotary Pick, Fill and Seal Machine (Model – PFS L), the company will be targeting clients who are in the business of liquids like oil/clarified butter and are particularly looking at preformed pouches with spout for ease of dispensing. “This model can also be used for packing granules/ powders (spices/coffee powder, etc.)/pulses, etc.,” said Prasad.

Multi Lane Automatic Linear Pick, Fill and Seal Machine (Model – LPFS 4T) has been designed sensing the discernible need for high speed packing of powders and granules in preformed pouches. According to Prasad, this gives the company an opportunity to serve international and Indian multinational organizations like HUL, P&G, ITC, Wipro, Reckitt, etc.

Talking about the response at the show, he said it was very encouraging. “We are in discussion with the prospective clients who expressed their keenness for the machines that we offer. Although the overall footfall in the exhibition was less than expected, it was nevertheless good in terms of quality and interest level,” he confirmed.
