Gels, liquids and creams packaging Unicep Packaging (UPI), a contract packager for gels, liquids and creams announced on 3 June 2009 that it has been awarded a 3 year contract with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to provide turnkey packaging for a line of personal care products. In March, UPI began shipping to GSK\’s distribution center in Memphis, TN. UPI developed a cross functional team, traveled to multiple GSK locations, and executed the transfer process to begin manufacturing as quickly as possible. This type of contract demonstrates UPI\’s wide range of capabilities together with a culture of delivering cost and service benefits to their customers.
\”We are very pleased to announce this partnership with one of the world\’s leading research-based pharmaceutical and health care companies\”, said Clint Marshall, VP of Business Development. \”Companies like GSK are striving for leaner and more-efficient operations.
