Sales and marketing director, Chiara Prati commented on the latest Labelexpo Europe, “An intense four days in Brussels at the most successful Labelexpo yet. This is how I’d like to sum it all up. We received countless visitors, particularly interested in learning more about the Digifast One, from all corners of the globe. We sealed numerous contracts and expect to conclude outstanding business over the next couple of months at the head offices in Faenza. A lot of effort was put into this exhibition, so I am happy to say we expect a busy autumn and decisively positive results at the end of the year.”
Italy’s leading label producer adopts latest digital finishing solution
Even before its official launch at Labelexpo Europe 2015, the Digifast One was selected by Italy’s leading adhesive label printer Nuceria Group to handle its requirements for high-performance digital finishing. The idea was to use the market’s most innovative solution for taking productivity to new levels thanks to processing speeds, greatly reduced set-up times and a significant reduction in waste.
The Nuceria Group is Italy’s leading producer of labels, flexible packaging and printed packaging consumables for the home and body care market for which the company produces packaging for important multinational clients, through the demanding pharmaceutical industry to the food and wine segments. At Labelexpo Europe, the Nuceria Group consolidated its leadership by acquiring Prati’s Digifast One.
Guido Iannone, general manager at Nuceria Group, commented on the choice, “Prati has always been our principal partner for finishing equipment. We have been working together for years and to date we have 15 inspection and finishing machines installed. We have no doubts as to how the Digifast One will stay true to Prati’s ability to offer high-performance finishing equipment, optimum productivity, time-savings and reduced waste.”
With running speeds of up to 80 metres a minute the Digifast One takes takes just over eight minutes for a complete set up with several smart design features and intuitive controls. Switching from one job to the next is accomplished fast and with no more than 18 metres of waste there is a huge difference in comparison to existing equipment. This not only saves on running costs and materials, but keeps processing time to what is essential and avoids large waste volumes which need to be handled without generating any revenue.
