The Heidelberg Packaging Days opened on the evening of 7 November, at the iconic glass-and-steel Print Media Academy building in the city with CEO Rainer Hundsdorfer

At Labelexpo in Brussels, Heidelberg CEO Rainer Hunsdorfer spoke of the successes and innovations in label press manufacturing that Gallus has brought to the event.

Heidelberg introduced its new B2 press, the Speedmaster CX75, at an open house at its Wiesloch factory in early April. The press, which fits in between the highly automated XL models and the SX 74 is also described as an XL75 Lite press. The press will receive its official launch at China Print and is expected to ship in November. In the face of progressive globalization, brands with an international sales and production infrastructure also have a growing need for additional packaging variants, a more individual sales approach, and a shorter time-to-market. These solutions and measures are designed to boost the international competitiveness of packaging producers by enabling reliable, productive and economical production, especially of defect-free, high-quality folding cartons and labels in offset, digital and flexo printing.

TCPL Packaging has recently signed up for two new MK 1060 YM foil-stamping and diecutting machines from Heidelberg.
