Navi Mumbai based Hilda Automation displayed its range of packaging machinery at interpack 2017 with a focus on high-speed automatic solutions. On display were an automatic 8-head oil-filling machine, automatic high-speed shrink sleeve applicator machine, automatic 2-head cup-filling machine and a cosmetic packaging line.
Kuraray showcases EVAL films for packaging at Plastivision
Kuraray, a world leader in the production and development of ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (under the brand name EVAL), showcased its films for packaging at the recently concluded Plastivision show in Mumbai. Speaking to us, Sachin Gangal, country head - EVAL Division, said, “EVAL provides the necessary gas and migration barrier function in food, medical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging and as a gas and solvent barrier in industrial, construction and automotive fuel system applications. EVAL offers a safe, lightweight, transparent and unbreakable alternative to glass and metal. At the end of the product’s life, EVAL can be recycled without toxic emission and used as an alternative to aluminium foil, with the addition of excellent transparency for stretch and shrink film applications.”
Brilliant Polymers to launch new range of adhesives for flexible packaging
Mumbai-based Brilliant Polymers has become one of India’s leading suppliers of laminating adhesives for flexible packaging. With its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Ambernath, in the Mumbai metropolitan region, it produces over 10,000 tons of adhesives per annum. Going forward, the company plans to double its manufacturing capacity during the FY 2017-2018 with growing sales in India and exports.

Busch at International Food Processing and Packaging Exhibition
Energy efficiency will be paramount at the Busch stand at the International Food Processing and Packaging Exhibition in Mumbai, India from 15 to 17 December. Busch Vacuum Pumps and Systems, which develops vacuum pumps and centralized vacuum supply systems that operate with the highest possible levels of energy efficiency, will present for the first time its new series of rotary vane vacuum pumps designed specifically for packaging machines, offering energy savings of up to 20%. The new RD series is based on the technology of R 5 rotary vane vacuum pumps.
