Resounding success for APL Machinery
Faridabad-based APL Machinery is a leading manufacturer of screen print machines to print on various shapes and substrates including paper as well as round containers. At Plastivision, APL launched Omega Roto UV 1000—a unique UV coating and curing machine that can generate speeds of more than 150 m/minute with a single UV cassette rather than two cassettes. The machine is also equipped with E+L web tension controller and has been built to meet the diverse needs of high gloss and scratch-free coating on various flexible substrates.
Parksons Packaging orders another Autoprint inspection system
Parksons Packaging, which placed its first order for the Autoprint Checkmate print inspection system in August 2016 for its Daman plant, has approached the latter again for a second installation in its Assam plant. Ramesh Kejriwal, chairman of Parksons Packaging says, “Our buying experience with Autoprint has been very competitive and congenial. The installation and training imparted has been exemplary and the after-sales support very prompt and flawless.”
Windsor showcases live demo of Industry 4.0
Being the first company to produce plastic processing machinery, Windsor Machines showcased its range of injection blow moulding and extrusion machineries integrated with Industry 4.0. Speaking to Packaging South Asia, TS Rajan, chief executive officer, Windsor Machines says, “We have been participating in Plastivision since the first exhibition. Plastivision is the second biggest exhibition happening in India. The Mumbai industry is a place of decision makers and geographically a favorable space for people from various industrial segments in the country.
Rukson installs Novacut 106 and Expertfold 80
Mumbai-based Rukson Packaging has expanded its production capability by bringing in some of the latest converting equipment to produce value-added printed cartons. “We are serious about the quality and, thus, many quality control tasks are being shifted to automated systems to increase reliability and reduce manual intervention. Hence, we invested in high-end technologies to ensure better quality and efficiency while maintaining high speed of production,” says Kishin Punjabi, director at Rukson Packaging.
HP and Redington launch their first Centre of Excellence in India
HP and Redington India launched India’s first Centre of Excellence in Chennai on 23 January. The new center in Guindy Industrial Estate will showcase HP Indigo’s digital offset presses along with a host of prepress, postpress and web-to-print solutions for commercial, photo, publishing, labels and packaging segments.
