Uflex Limited, India’s largest multinational flexible packaging materials and solutions company, clocked 8% bottom line year on year growth in Q1 of FY 2017-18.

India’s leading flexible packaging materials and solution company Uflex Limited has developed a specialty polymeric film to replace BOPA or nylon film from flexible packaging material.

PackPlus, the annual trade show on packaging, processing and supply chain organized by Print-Packaging (P) Ltd., will be staged at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 3 to 6 August 2017.

The Uflex cylinder engraving division has, after three years of intense R&D, been able to optimize cell structures of laser-engraved rotogravure cylinders to an extent that can actually reduce ink consumption by about 20-25% than what can be achieved using electro-mechanically engraved cylinders for similar image quality. In fact, the print quality achieved with the higher definition laser-engraved cylinders is enhanced in comparison to print using electro-mechanically engraved cylinders.

PackPlus, which will be held from 3-6 August 2017 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, will see 375 companies spread across six halls over an area of 16,000 square meters. The event is expected to receive more than 20,000 visitors.

One of the most important dimensions of flexible packaging is ‘Convenience’ of handling which also happens to be a pivotal component of the pack’s functionality. The moment this convenience is compromised upon, the utility of the packaging nose dives and consequently, the brand image along with consumers’ faith and confidence in it suffers. “As India’s largest multinational flexible packaging materials and Solution Company, one of the commonest asks that our clients have from us is to incorporate easy to open features,” says Arun Anand, executive vice president marketing at Uflex Packaging.
