Kanpur-Noida based Vinayak Ultraflex is a printing and laminate company known for producing top-quality flexible packaging material for FMCG, beverages, pharma, and other industries. Founded by S K Paliwal in 1997, Vinayak Ultraflex provides printing services to big and mid-sized FMCG companies. Vinayak Ultraflex started operations in the flexible packaging segment with just two machines. As business grew and demand increased, the company expanded and installed additional machines.

In recent years, Vinayak Ultraflex diversified into the pouch-packaging and label printing segments by installing a Bobst M5 8 color press. It has also invested in digital printing and high-tech security printing capabilities by adding Domino’s K600i digital inkjet printer.

Siddrth Paliwal, executive director of Vinayak Ultraflex, says there is a need for anti-counterfeiting solutions in today’s packaging business.

In the northern region, our company is a pioneer in the laminate and pouch manufacturing segment. Our advanced infrastructure and technology set us apart from our competitors. Over the last three years, our region has seen significant growth in the flexible packaging segment, with the installation of more than 30 new machines,” Paliwal said.

However, with increasing competition and market saturation in the FMCG sector, we decided to shift our focus to other industries. Our company is developing specialized products for the pharma, fintech, and the petroleum sectors. We aim to provide innovative solutions to protect against counterfeiting and meet the unique needs of these industries. This shift has allowed us to tap the new markets and expand our business beyond the FMCG sector and Delhi-NCR.”

QR code for variable data printing and anti-counterfeiting

Counterfeiting is a huge challenge, he said, adding it not only impacts revenue but damages brand reputation and adversely impacts profits. “Our company has been developing products, specifically printing QR codes to meet the growing demand for this technology in the manufacturing sector. Consumers now expect to see QR codes on the back of their product packaging as they can hold a significant amount of information compared to traditional barcodes,” he said.

With the Domino K600i monochrome digital inkjet printer, it is now possible for us to print a unique QR code for each label or package having its own signature. This enables protection against counterfeiting while giving each product its own identity, he explained.

After researching and comparing various options, we concluded that Domino Digital Printing Solution was the best choice for us. We are already experiencing significant benefits and advancements with this Domino Solution,” he said.

Paliwal said the Domino K600i digital inkjet Monochrome printer has been a game-changer for its printing business combined with the service and support offered by the Domino India team. “We are now able to fulfill large-quantity orders with quick turnaround time. The production capacity of the Domino printer allows us to efficiently handle these orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods.”

Ajay RaoRane, vice president – Digital Printing Solutions at Domino India, says Vinayak Ultraflex has set a benchmark in the industry with its commitment to quality and innovation. “Domino India is thrilled to welcome Vinayak Ultraflex as a valued customer, and we look forward to supporting their continued success.”
