Busch is one of the leading manufacturers of vacuum pumps, blowers and compressors. Its product range comprises the largest selection of solutions for vacuum and overpressure technology in all industry sectors worldwide. Busch Vacuum India displayed its new generation R 5 RD rotary vane vacuum pump at the recently concluded PackTech India 2016 in Mumbai.
“The new R 5 RD series sets a new standard for rotary vane vacuum pumps, offering energy consumption savings of up to 20%. The R 5 RD rotary vane vacuum pump has been perfectly optimized for fast packaging cycles in vacuum packaging machines,” said Ajit Singh, managing director, Busch Vacuum India.
Launched in November 2016, the R 5 RD rotary vane vacuum pump is the latest development from Busch and is based on the proven technology of the highly successful R 5 series. According to Singh, the R 5 series of rotary vane vacuum pumps stands out for its robustness and operational reliability. He added that the pumping speed of individual models at high vacuum levels has also been increased, which for meat product packagers means reduced cycle times and lower energy consumption. Over 2.5 million R 5 rotary vane vacuum pumps are in operation every day worldwide.
As for potential customers, Singh said they would be OEMs and end users for pharma packaging, food packaging, printing, pneumatic conveying, among others. Finally, commenting on the response received at the PackTech show, Singh said it was very encouraging.
