Siegwerk, one of the leading global providers of printing inks and coatings for packaging applications and labels, has announced that Siegwerk has signed an agreement for a Standard Membership with the World Climate Foundation.

The World Climate Foundation is one of the largest and most influential global platforms focusing on climate, biodiversity, and health resilience. For over a decade, it has been promoting collaboration between governments, businesses, financial institutions, and international organizations to accelerate the transition to a green economy.

“We are excited to be a part of this initiative, that aims to promote climate protection and energy efficiency. This membership allows us to drive the sustainable business transition together with peers”, said Alina Marm, head of Global Sustainability and Circular Economy at Siegwerk.

According to its sustainability strategy ‘HorizonNOW’ Siegwerk has committed to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050. The company has set near- and long-term company-wide emission reductions in line with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Siegwerk is also committed to achieve carbon neutrality for scope 1 & 2 already by the end of 2025.

As a member of the World Climate Foundation, Siegwerk will have the opportunity to participate in year-round events, connect with a diverse global network, and create partnerships that advance individual and organizational objectives. Siegwerk is excited to be part of this global initiative and is looking forward to working with the World Climate Foundation to promote a sustainable future.
