As the flexible packaging industry evolves, staying at the forefront of technological advancements is key. Recently, I visited UV BIZ in Indore to oversee the installation of the Primaslit–FL slitter, a state-of-the-art solution from SP Ultraflex Systems. This visit also included trials of our innovative Trim Winder TW-DSR, which successfully handles flexible laminates at 600 meters per minute with impressive noise reduction.

The Primaslit–FL Slitter was installed to enhance UV BIZ’s production capabilities. Known for its high-speed, high-volume efficiency, this machine minimizes waste and maximizes precision. Overseeing the installation and conducting hands-on training with operators allowed us to address operational challenges and fine-tune the equipment for optimal performance. Its versatility in handling various substrates makes it a good fit for the dynamic needs of the flexible packaging industry. Seeing the operators’ positive engagement first hand with the machine reaffirmed to us, its impact on improving converting workflows.
The Trim Winder TW-DSR trial
Additionally, the trials of the Trim Winder TW-DSR at the same converter demonstrated its ability to significantly reduce trim noise, which is a common challenge in the industry. Excessive noise not only disrupts the work environment but can also affect equipment longevity and operator comfort. The TW-DSR’s smooth and less-noisy performance created a quieter, more efficient workspace, earning positive feedback from the UV BIZ operators.
Direct interaction with operators provided invaluable insights into their challenges and needs. This hands-on experience underscored the importance of tailoring solutions to enhance ease of use, speed, and noise reduction. Feedback from the team strengthened confidence in our products and their seamless integration into existing workflows.

This work visit to a customer reinforced the value of collaboration in driving innovation and performance. By addressing pain points and exceeding expectations, we strive to set new standards in flexible packaging. We keep are excited by the opportunities to innovate and deliver tailored solutions that optimize efficiency and foster success for our customers.
