Xeikon, a division of Flint Group, recently launched the Panther series of label ink jet presses at the Label Expo North America show in September. Though the company is unable to get the press in India on time, the Xeikon team will discuss the unique print quality, cost of print and other ink jet subjects with Indian customers at its stand during Labelexpo India 2018. Xeikon claims it to be the first label ink jet in the market with strong prepress capabilities.

At Labelexpo India 2018, India Expo Center & Mart in Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, the Xeikon 3300 will be on display at Stand G15. It is a 13-inch digital toner based label press, which fits the Indian market due to non-requirements for priming before print.

The Xeikon range of digital label presses offers features such as on-press prepress functionality reducing made-ready/job change timing, strong color management between digital units and conventional printing processes, on-site speed and size upgrades, and FDA compliance for direct dry food contact. All these features fit the requirements and budgets for most Indian label converters.

Bent Serritslev, general manager – Asia, Digital Solutions, Flint Group said, “We believe Labelexpo is a good platform for displaying and discussing digital label solutions in India and the market has started to seriously investing in digital and Xeikon, being the world second largest supplier of digital label solutions, stands to benefit from our long term commitments to the Indian market.”

“At Labelexpo India, Xeikon will foccus on industrial label converters looking for complex digital solutions being either electrostatic or ink jet, for which our company is the only supplier of both solutions in the production segment,” Serritslev added.

Flint Group Flexographic will not launch new products during the show in India; it will however continue to promote the recently launched products, the nyloflex XVH – a thermal flexo plate which is part of the nyloflex Xpress Thermal Processing system, and its flat top dot and round dot top thermal plate portfolio, which are optimized for the Xpress thermal processor, delivering excellent print results in the flexible packaging and label markets.

Also on highlight will be the recently launched nyloprint WF SHARP Digital, a letterpress plate for the label printing market, which is able to hold finest image details, especially in the printing of highlights and vignettes. The new polymer formulation provides a homogeneous ink lay-down on all common label substrates and laminates.

Ozan Oeztuerk, global marketing communications manager, Flexographic said, “We expect to show Flint Group’s strength as a global solution provider serving the label market with a variety of solutions, reaching from digital printing to prepress, inks to flexographic plates and sleeves and adapters.” Flint Group Flexographic will target cliche makers as well as integrated printers and brand owners. He further added, “(At Labelexpo India 2018, we hope to be able to meet new customers in the Indian market, whom we can convicne about our innovative solutions, and can close deals on our Xpress Thermal Processing system.”
