Athis year’s Labelexpo show in Delhi, Nilpeter will showcase a highly configured and feature-packed FB-3300 servo press. The 6-color UV-flexo press with short web path features novelties such as a gravure unit at the last printing unit—a value-adding unit for metallic inks, solids and coatings, and a new rail-based cross-over unit that can be placed above any printing unit for total flexibility. The press is also equipped with the Corona treater, web cleaner, chill drums on all units, movable cold foil, Automatic Plate Positioning System (APPS), two die slots, and a 100% inspection system.
At its stand in Labelexpo 2016, the FB-3300S will produce pressure-sensitive labels with cold foil as well as metallic gold ink printed in gravure. Nilpeter will also demonstrate 2-ply coupon labels, as well as printing shrink sleeves getting converted with shrinkable cold foil with the last white printed in gravure.
The FB-3300S
The FB-3300S is a narrow-web press based on modular flexo technology for easy configuration. It includes screen and hot foil drop-in features to increase printing options at an affordable price. The maximum web speed of 750 ft a minute makes the FB-3300 one of the fastest in the narrow-web industry. It is straightforward to make-ready and operate, enabling competitive set-ups. The press features a helical transmission as well.
With features such as the convenient splicing table with pneumatic hold-down bars, ergonomic slide-out print stations, easy-to-use operator interface and advanced die-cutting and drying systems, the FB-3300 is designed to contribute to the bottom-line of the printer.
The gravure unit
With consistent ink transfer across a wide range of densities, and at high speeds, gravure is suitable for applications that require high image quality. Durable printing cylinders make the gravure unit a perfect solution for high quality print on long and repetitive runs. The unit features adjustable doctor blades, an ink-circulation system, viscosity control, and a drying and vacuum system. Operator safety is ensured by the integrated ventilation system. The versatile gravure unit is prepared for both front- and reverse-side printing, and offers quick job-change and set-up.
